Pankaj has spent nearly 25 years working on issues of development, corporate responsibility and sustainability. This period has been evenly divided between grassroots development organisations and large MNCs. He also have worked with extremely disadvantaged rural communities, working with contested resources and under conditions of extreme stresses, as well as with migrants and displaced communities. He believes this has given me an understanding of the "field reality"? that is unique, and also sectoral competence in all core areas of development intervention- Environment, Livelihoods, Education, Health and Community Action. His second decade has been spent in a corporate environment, managing corporate responsibility and sustainable development portfolios for three large multi-nationals. In these roles he have led the transition to an impact and ‘risk’ centric approach– and also led the influencing outreach to impact a much wider stakeholder set. One key area of his work has been development of robust due diligence mechanisms around anti-bribery and corruption.
