On KP Group CMD Dr Faruk Patel’s Birthday, Employees Pledge Social Service
Leading renewable energy and infrastructure company KP Group has launched a social responsibility initiative on the occasion of the 55th birthday of its Founder, Chairman, and Managing Director, Dr. Faruk G. Patel.
Dr. Faruk places humanity at the highest priority and is consistently associated with several inspiring social initiatives. Inspired by this, employees decided to celebrate his birthday by dedicating themselves to acts of service as a meaningful tribute. More than 2,000 employees of KP Group marked the occasion by taking an oath to undertake three social initiatives in a month, collectively committing to serve 10,000 people. As part of this and adopting the spirit of ‘Kal Kare So Aaj Kar’, some employees initiated activities including cow welfare service, food distribution and tree plantation. On the occasion of Dr. Patel’s birthday, 30 employees donated blood and extended help to three people.
The initiative, anchored in KP Group’s “Human First” philosophy, aims to mobilise employees to participate in structured community and environmental programmes, aligning corporate growth with social impact. The campaign will see widespread employee engagement across locations, with participation in multiple initiatives ranging from blood donation drives and tree plantation to food distribution, women’s health support and education outreach programmes.
The initiative reflects a broader shift towards embedding social responsibility within organisational culture rather than limiting it to standalone CSR activities.
Commenting on the initiative, Dr. Faruk G. Patel, Founder, Chairman & Managing Director, KP Group, said, “As an organisation, we believe that growth is meaningful only when it is inclusive. This initiative is not a celebration of an individual, but a commitment to society. If each one of us contributes even a small effort towards society, we can create a powerful collective impact. True success lies in the number of lives we are able to touch and uplift.”
A key element of the initiative is an employee pledge under which team members have committed to participating in at least three social initiatives by June 2026, while also promoting awareness around sustainability and societal well-being. Employees have also committed to planting 10,000 trees together over the next three months.
Tree plantation has been made a mandatory component, reinforcing the Group’s focus on environmental stewardship alongside its renewable energy business.
According to senior leadership, the initiative is designed not only to drive immediate impact but also to cultivate a long-term behavioural shift towards responsible citizenship within the organisation.
The initiative spans employees across KP Group’s verticals, including renewable energy, engineering and infrastructure, and is expected to evolve into a larger movement with participation from external stakeholders.
Such employee-driven models of social engagement are increasingly being seen as high-impact, scalable approaches to corporate responsibility, particularly in sectors linked to sustainability.
