Navdeep is an alumnus of FIIB and is currently working as Head Sustainability for United Spirits- A Diageo Group Company based out of Mumbai. He brings with him more than 17 years of successful professional experience in the Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability domain. Prior to this role, he has worked with Essar Group Foundation, British High Commission, Cairn India and United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).

Introducing the organization, Mr. Mehram stated that DIAGEO is a global beverage alcohol leader and is spread across more than 180 countries markets. The company owns the iconic brands like Johnny Walker and Smirnoff.

Talking about the key areas in which the organization works, Mr. Mehran said DIAGEO focuses on two primary areas- a) Alcohol in society- where they promote responsible consumption and road safety and, b) Sustainable Development platform- which works towards water replenishment/ water management, women empowerment and Livelihood programme in the facilities in which the company operates.

Commenting on the challenges involved, Mr. Mehran said: "Every 4 minutes a road crash leads to a fatality" which is a big challenge to tackle. In order to curb the fatalities, the company initiated “Road to Safety” program on local, state and national level in partnership with Ministry of Road Transport, NGOs, Universities, and Colleges.
