BoreCharger, an innovative patented technique, is developed by Urdhvam, Pune that revives failed, dry and low yielding borewells by enhancing recharge multi fold . Summary of the model is as below:
Borewells are drilled that tap deeper aquifer systems where natural percolation of rainwater doesn’t reach. Unregulated rapid pumping without any harvesting of rain water results into borewells going dry and failing eventually.
There are no Economical and Sustainable solutions available to recharge borewells
BoreCharger Technology introduced by this model improves recharge of borewells thereby improves borewell production capacity and in many cases quality of water as well.
This unique and patent pending technology potentially converts all the borewells which can only abstract water into the borewells that can do both the functions of abstraction as well as recharge.

The procedure of the BoreCharger technique is as below:
Vital statistics about the borewell such as diameter, depth, casing type, casing depth, latitude, longitude, elevation, etc. is collected using a Mobile App.
A trained hydrogeological expert, using a borewell underwater scanning camera system, undertakes a thorough hydrogeological investigation and lithological mapping. This provides information such as casing depth, any hindrances, depth of water-bearing structures, the thickness of aquifer structures, any deformities, caving ins, etc.
Primary field observations of surrounding borewells and open wells coupled with secondary data available maps on geology and groundwater hydrogeology are studied to understand groundwater aquifer systems
Information is also collected on the seasonal water yield behavior and historic information of borewell
Based on this investigation the hydrogeologist decides where the BoreCharger tool should make precise perforations to the impervious borewell casing from inside at an appropriate depth.
Water Quality test is carried out to provide valuable information to the client.
The end customer is trained on the usage of the Borewell Inventory and Water Level Mobile App developed by Urdhvam to collect weekly/monthly data on seasonal water levels in the borewell.
