This project was carried out between 2018-2022 and involved ensuring source segregation across all wards of the city and improve processing percentage through decentralized processing. Through this project, source segregation was implemented in 30,000+ households, 1.5 lakh people were sensitized, 4 decentralized dry waste processing units and one 20TPD windrow composting facility was set up and operationalized. It also involved training of women working with 14 SHGs. With the support of Saahas, the SHGs were able to increase their monthly income from sale of dry waste by 5 times.
