Partnered with HCL Foundation to provide job related skill training to 350 youth in Hyderabad. The program started in January 2019 and ended in March 2020. The courses offered were Customer Call Executive, Office Assistant, Pharmacy Assistant, Retail Trainee Associate which covered multiple sectors and segments of target beneficiaries. They have achieved 70% placement in this project. Most of the students were sourced from urban slums. They are continuing the program in year 2 at Hyderabad and Vijayawada training 675 beneficiaries in the courses – General Duty Assistant, Pharmacy Assistant, Retail Trainee Associate & Software Developer.
The overall objective of the training was Employability and skill development that help in sustainable livelihood opportunities. These opportunities created strong and self-reliant people and communities. During mobilization, we primarily targeted youth and women above 18 years of age in urban areas and slums/underserved section of the society. After counseling eligible candidates enrolled in the suitable courses, total 350 candidates were shortlisted for the training. These candidates were trained for close to 45 days along with soft skills, computer operations and placement assistance.
