"Project goodwaste” aims at developing identified areas into beautiful, garbage-free, minimized-plastic, green zones. Under this project, we guide people to segregate their wastes at source so that the recyclable material can make its way to recycling plants and the organic waste can be composted into manure. This way hardly 20% of our waste, mostly the sanitary waste goes to landfill hence reducing air and water pollution significantly. Project goodwaste urges people to understand the problems associated with plastic and try to reduce the use wherever possible.
The model of Project goodwaste is replicated to various schools, apartments and townships in Guwahati and we aim to spread the good work all across the country.
The model of Project Good Waste was replicated to various schools in 2019 and we aim to spread the good work all across the country. Under this project, three-colour dustbins are placed at appropriate places in the school and the usage, as per the colour code, is taught to the school team. Organic composting of green waste is taught and made. The application is monitored and checked for months. A final inspection is done and the school is given a Green Stamp on successfully achieving the compliance.
