Project Description

OES is proposing to set up Model Skill Development Centers “Kaushal Kendra” in Hub & Spoke Model to create employment and self-employment through Vocational Training and sustainable livelihood program to 2500 marginalised youth based on the fresh and future demands. 

The following districts have been selected based on the skill gap report:

  • Hub Model Center - Jagatdalpur in Bastar district of Chhattisgarh. 
  • Spoke Model Center- Dantewada, Kondagoan, Kanker , Narayanpur & Dhamtari of Chhattisgarh 

We have selected 6 locations in the state of Chhattisgarh. Based on the previous need assessment and skill gap analysis and several industry partners, we have identified the following 5 sectors & 5 trades:

  • Setting up and Co-branding the new centers.
  • Mobilisation activities in the HRDP villages of proposed locations. Screening and selection of Candidates- awareness programs and Kaushal Mela.
  • Providing Skill training to the youth – Right Skill for Right Candidates after proper matching.
  • Training as per NSQF Standards and SSC Guidelines -Domain Skills + Soft Skills + Digital Literacy & Financial Literacy.
  • Guest lecture session & Industry visit for experience and practical exposure of the trainees.
  • Assessment & Certification by 3rd party agency approved by resp.  Sector Skill Council.
  • Employment & Self Employment opportunities to the candidates after successful completion of the program, hence providing sustainable livelihood.
  • Post placement Support and Tracking of the trainees.

Special Features of Project


Orion with NPCI have implemented skill training in Model Skill Development Centers “Kaushal Kendra” in Chhattisgarh in Hub & Spoke Model at District Level & Board level covering the villages of respective district.  With the aim to create employment and self-employment opportunities through Vocational Training and sustainable livelihood program to 2500 marginalised youth based on the fresh and future demands. 

Following mentioned are some of the Project special features exectuted by Orion:

Mobilization:

Mobilization of youths in Career Training programs has always been strength of Orion. We are using effective mechanism, innovative tools and existing infrastructure to improve the outreach of the program. This is done through an interactive atmosphere within the localities where the youth reside by our well-trained and experienced team with the help of district representation and related departments. Global pandemic has unprecedented impact on the marginalised youth and low-income groups who were already experiencing challenges in accessing the various employment & training opportunities. For the ease of taking up training opportunities will play an important role. In current scenario, traditional mobilization methods might not meet the expectation and there is need to use various high-tech, low-tech and no-tech solutions given the large digital divide that exists.  

Training Methodology:

  • Certified & Proficient Trainers with first-hand knowledge of the specified industry.
  • National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) aligned Industry Endorsed training material.
  • Digitized and interactive Course Content for better learning ability.
  • Strong guidelines on maintaining organizational decorum and discipline.
  • Audio/Video aided Training.
  • Simulation mode for real time experience.
  • Tailor- made course content as per requirement.
  • Highly interactive sessions with Presentation, Workshop, Role-plays, Case study, and Project work to enable better learning.
  • Regular practical classes for an active, engaging, and inspiring learning technique.
  • Dynamic and digitized mode of training.
  • Centralized live video sessions by Master Trainers, recorded for future reference or for broadcasting as and when required.
  • Student's life cycle is monitored and disciplined through Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Evaluation and Placement Audit (EPA).
  • Industry Expert session - At least 2 guest lecture sessions are delivered by an expert from the respective industry in each batch. These sessions prepare students for the corporate world.
  • Industry Visit –Periodic visits to the industries are planned. Trainee visits are planned to the Work place so that they get accustomed with the relevant work culture.
  • Holistic and 360 degree training for a personalized and competency based learning process.
  • Anagogical training process to boost the motivation and orientation of learning

Employee engagement and co-branding opportunity:

  • Employee Engagement- NPCI team can support OES team by providing training for financial literacy during weekends and also provide life skills training.
  • Opportunity for Co-branding- Using the logo of NPCI in all the communications related to the project including all the collaterals, course ware, signage’s, Media communication, Press Communication and our Website.
