On the belief of Udayan Care’s mission to enable every adult the dignity of self-reliance, Udayan Care’s IT & Skill Centres were initiated in 2004 and 2003 to enable under-served youth and women to improve their livelihood options. This programme acts as a platform which empowers them through digital literacy and job-oriented skill training. This programme has established on the core belief that working hard on our skills improves employability and the centres are a hub of knowledge and learning that open doors to new career options.
Our centres offer various certificate and diploma courses in basic as well as advanced computer applications, such as Microsoft, Tally, as also Graphic and Print design etc. We have besides Microsoft certification, NIELIT (Govt) certification, and Tally Education certificate too. Spoken English, life skills training and job readiness training are also a part of the curriculum to make students job-ready. Since inception, our 14 Information Technology Centres across 3 states, have equipped over 15491 students with the dignity of self-reliance.
Our Skill Centre was started in 2003 and aims to increase the probability of employability for women from underserved communities who do not get access to acquire skill from a formal institute. And our first centre is at Greater NOIDA which has given successful training to over 1259 underserved women and there are various courses being provided to them such as Stitching and Tailoring, Beauty Therapy, Paper Craft, Enamel Work, Block Printing, Graphic Design, China painting, etc. and provides livelihood opportunities for disadvantaged women by selling items created by them, under the label ‘Sukriti’.With new courses like Pottery, Cookery, and Photography, the vision is to provide more career choices to girls and women for their future employability.
