Sofia Educational & Welfare Society with the support of BSES CSR & Tihar Jail Administration has launched a new initiative in Mandoli Jail i.e. “Tihar Jail Rehabilitation Program” for prisoners who are undertrials or serving their sentence in the prison. This initiative is a unique step to provide the facilities for prisoners towards their fresh start and rehabilitation through education & vocational trainings along with their soft skills & personality development. Under this initiative, we are providing various activities to inmates of Mandoli Jail such as providing tuition classes for NIOS enrolled inmates along with require books, notebooks, stationary etc., upgradation of Crèche facilities i.e. beds for children, toys, games, child friendly environment, books and material for learning activities, vocational Trainings in Basic Computer Course, Beauty Culture, special sessions on soft skills, Psycho Social Counseling, women health issues and legal rights, providing entertainment facilities such as LED TV, Games etc.

• Providing non formal educational classes to those inmates who are illiterate and want to study.

• Providing educational tuition classes to those students who are enrolled with NIOS for class 10th & 12th in Central Jail no. 11 & 16, Mandoli Jail

• Providing Skill Development of inmates of Central jail no. 16,Mandoli Jail
