The project intends to upgrade the technical training infrastructure at the centers from BS IV to BS VI and also train the two-wheeler technicians on latest technology. Two-Wheeler Preventive Maintenance & Repair program will help youth develop relevant skills on futuristic technologies and become self-reliant, thereby empowering them for a brighter future. 

• All the existing skill development centers in India, especially those in the service domain, were set up on the BS IV norms. Currently there is a high demand to either open new training centers with latest BS VI technology or upgrade the existing centers from BS IV to BS VI norms. 
• Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC) and Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest two- wheelers manufacturer (motorcycles and scooters), joined hands to upgrade the training infrastructure at the existing Skill Development Centers (SDCs) and also develop a comprehensive short-term training program on Two-Wheeler Preventive Maintenance & Repair. 
• Through this project, we also intend to engage with local garages across the country, who otherwise do not have access to advance training and technical infrastructure. This will further improve the overall quality of existing service technicians in the industry and improve the customer satisfaction.
• Both ASDC and Hero MotoCorp are committed to bridge the supply gap of skilled workers in the automotive sector. The program will further support all candidates in developing relevant skills on futuristic vehicles (EV/HEV) and become self-reliant. This will empower youth to earn a better livelihood and also fulfilling the broader vision of Skill India Mission.
