Almost all the government schools in Karnataka are in extreme rural locations such that the students and teachers never used technology for education. Further, in almost all schools' the number of teachers was way less than the number of students, resulting in lagging behind the syllabus and disengagement of students in studies.
The integration of 292 iPrep digital libraries with 5840 tablets in schools in Karnataka enabled an enjoyable learning environment amongst students where some started reading through tablets. At the same time, some collaborated on group studies resulting in a reduced burden on teachers. Similarly, teachers who struggled to finish their syllabus were concerned about their time management with tablet based learning, but when they saw students divide themselves into groups and play video lessons on tablets on their own, they were happy to see students get involved in learning on their own.
