Seed has Collaborated with Fortum to take forward the CSR project " Unnati " which is one of the running projects phase in thirumani, Karnataka. The project aims to provide community development along with women's empowerment. Here we have a formation of village development committee (VDC) that consists of high authorities’ members like panchayat members that help in reviewing the progress of works and schedule the plan for upcoming activities. They also provide support in the implementation of the program, especially during the mobilization activities and awareness generation activities. The project initially focused on the healthcare domain to track the health status of the village population and has conducted five general health camps and one specialized health camp. An ECG Machines & Digital X-Ray Machine have been provided in the health care centre. In the area of women empowerment, Skill training is provided to the women with the most prevalent skill in the area or skills that can make women self-sufficient for themselves and their families. Here women have participated in garland making courses and tailoring courses. There will be SHG (Self-help group) for the women group and a market linkage facility for work orders after completion of the courses. We will be starting Basic Computer training courses for the children and youth population of the village.
