A vast majority of students coming from remote areas cannot afford quality education due to their poor financial background. As a response to this issue, they have started schools that are currently running in Jambrung Village near Karjat (under the aegis of our partner NGO – Kalki Tejomaya Social Welfare Trust (KTSWT), Maharashtra and at Batala Road, Amritsar in Punjab (under MBPCT).

The platform of this initiative has been fortified with an intention of bridging the gap between ancient wisdom and modern understanding. Starting with two humble pilot projects, the vision is to have a fully established umbrella marquee offering modern-day education entwined with ageless knowledge in every nook and corner of the world. As the first step to alleviate poverty, they provide free mid-day meals to these students who study and live without having two proper meals a day. Nourishment and nutrition are taken care of through a glass of milk and mid-day meal every day. School uniforms, bags, shoes, tiffin boxes are provided for along with books and writing accessories. It is being run in rented premises. The journey started with 8 students in 2016 and now caters to 43 students.
Experience in Education: The organization has an experience of 4 yrs. of successfully running a pre-school in Karjat (Kamatpada, Jamrung, Post Ambivali, Taluka Karjat, Dist. Raigad, Maharashtra) and 8 yrs. of working and training students from various organisations and schools and many educational programmes in Mumbai and other states.
Using a unique blend of modern schooling along with ancient traditional values, the ethos of Sneh SanskÄr Gurukul can be summarized as that of providing holistic development of children with respect to mental, physical, creative, intellectual and spiritual growth through an informal setting involving formal education. They are currently in the mode of expansion to higher secondary school as well.
