Income generation activities
The Ishanya foundation has started income generation activities for over 200 women in the city of Pune and the village of Taloja to help improve their standard of living. These activities not only enable them to contribute to their family’s income but also build their confidence and install in them a sense of self worth. The women earn on average about 2000 Rs per month.
They stitch more than 20 different products such as cloth bags, cloth gift envelopes, Batwas, etc. designed by the Ishanya Foundation. These products are then sold at various fairs and exhibitions around the city
