Lions Health Foundation wanted to upgrade its operation theatre for performing Retinal surgeries and a green laser for the treatment of patients with Diabetic retinopathy. There was the requirement for a new operating microscope for the same. The foundation approached Fugro Survey India Pvt. Ltd. With the project, they approved the grant of Rs. 35,00,000/- for the same. The retinal department in the hospital now is full-fledged to treat any retinal problem.

• We provide Retinal surgeries, which is a very special type of surgery. It requires special instruments and equipment like Biom attachment to operating microscope and posterior vitrectomy. Every eye operation theater doesn't have such facilities. There is no such charitable hospital in this area which provides such facilities.

• The cost of these surgeries in private set up is more than 35,000/- The same is made available free of cost to poor patients in this area through Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Aarogya Yojana.
