Creating a Team of GVTs :
We recruit people from villages to become Good Vision Technician, They are Min.10 pass women and men willing to do fieldwork of eye care awareness and eye screening.
At least 6-7 people from the nearby locality are identified to form 1 group, Many groups can be trained at once.
They are trained for 2 months full day in a classroom training to do basic refraction and detect power by a qualified optometrist from a curriculum designed by one dollar glasses.

- At least 6-7 people from the nearby locality are identified to form 1 group, Many groups can be trained at once.

Working on the field:
- After classroom training, they start work on the field as an intern for 10 months under the guidance of optometrist, After that, they qualify to be GVTs
- GVTs group may also need the support of camp coordinators who fixes up eye camps in the community and GVTs do the awareness and screening.
- GVTs liaison with community people for awareness and screening.
- They are to be given the KIT including Trial set/lens bar for testing eyes, marketing material for awareness, Aprons, etc
- Also a stock of frames and lenses for dispensing.
Remuneration:
- GVTs can work as entrepreneurs and can be paid commission on per spectacle sold.
- GVTs can be recruited on a salary model with a monthly target of numbers of camps to be done, people to be seen and spectacles to be dispenses.
Revenue generation:
- Since spectacles are sold at a minimal price of 1-2 days of wages of rural poor, it generates revenue but that does not cost-covering.
