IIT Palakkad Technology IHub Foundation (IPTIF) has established I-trend centers (IPTIF's Technology, Research and Entrepreneurship Development) across India to empower the youth of the country with adequate skills to enable their employment in technological sectors, to improve productivity, and capacity building to prepare them for the evolving Cyber-Physical Systems technologies. By opening up I-TREND centers that are accessible to all and close to their homes, everyone living in the country should be able to access technological education and training, entrepreneurship, and valuable skill sets through i-TREND centers that will enrich their lives.
IPTIF targets to train 2 million youth through this initiative by 2030. The goal of IPTIF's I-TREND program is to promote technological product development, research, entrepreneurial activity, and skill development at educational institutions. We are concentrating on building institutional mechanisms to foster techno-entrepreneurship, and skill development to speed up research, entrepreneur activities, possible internships, and job opportunities, as well as encourage strong industry-institution partnerships across the country. I-TREND centers become a mirror image of IPTIF which will be set up at leading Diploma, ITI, and Engineering colleges across every district in India in the initial stage.
In the pilot plan, IPTIF has effectively conducted a “BOOTCAMP ON PYTHON FOR DATA SCIENCE '' Curated by IIT professor Dr.Sathyajith Das. There was a massive turnover of students who had undertaken the boot camps at the I-trend centers set up throughout South India. After the success of the pilot plan, Hundreds of colleges in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka approached IPTIF, keen to set up i-TREND centers in their institutions thereby, being a part of our signature initiative.
Project is Active , we have 25 i-trend centres across south India
