Young people are agents of change and their potential to influence entire families could be leveraged to change the way people eat. A school is thus an obvious place where healthy eating habits can be inculcated.
In September, 2017, FSSAI had launched the Safe and Nutritious Food@School (SNF@School) initiative. Since then, thousands of schools have registered, created certiï¬ed Health and Wellness Coordinators and have begun activities under this program. To make implementation simple, FSSAI has created credible content in Yellow Books 1 & 2 and made it available online on www.snfportal.in.
The project has been successfully adopted and implemented by several corporates as part of their CSR/ Voluntary support activities. This can be easily adopted and implemented by CSR partners or any other organisation through models like (1) Adopt a school (2) Print and distribute educational material (3) Create SNF Fellowship.
More details about these are available on www.snfportal.in.
