To provide equality and form an inclusive environment for persons with disabilities in the employment space. Belonging to one of the most marginalized sections of the society, they are subjected to inaccessibility of education, training, and employment opportunities. To look at it from a macro lens, every disability has a unique ability. Hence, it becomes all the more necessary to create a space that provides for programmes in the system which would provide for equal opportunities. 60 Persons with Disabilities to be trained for 45 days. The project houses the project beneficiaries, trains them and places them at a sensitized workplace thereby taking a step towards an inclusive society. The skill training has been customized to suit their learning abilities.

Objective:

The core objective of the project is to empower persons with disabilities by equipping them with employment worthy skills.

Project Beneficiaries:

• Persons with Disability falling in the age bracket of 18-35.
• Current target group under this project is SHI (Speech and Hearing Impaired).

Job Roles:

• Retail Sales Associate – Level 4 – 5 months training
• Food and Beverage Service Steward – Level 4 – 5 months training

The project has currently been completed and around 80% of candidates who were successfully trained under this project have already been placed.

• Appointment of specialized and sensitized trainers to train the PwDs.
• Use of Sign language interpreter during the training period and assessment
• Use of Pictorial/Diagrammatic communication chart as a training methodology
