Dholpur as a district has found a place amongst 5 other districts in Rajasthan for the “transformation of aspirational districts” by government of India. It is one of the most underdeveloped districts in Rajasthan. Manjari Foundation, since inception has been active in Dholpur district and has been working relentlessly to improve the life of less privileged communities and residents of Dholpur. HRDP with a history of impacting 14 lakhs people in 16 states of India, was looking forward to collaborate with a professional non-profit organization with a proven history of active operations in Dholpur. Manjari’s vision, mission and work at grass root level aligned with the expectations of HDFC Bank CSR Team and this resulted in a collaboration in 2019. It was in July 2019, Manjari was assigned the responsibility of implementing the HRDP in Dholpur district of Rajasthan. The project has been implemented to improve the socio-economic conditions of rural families in selected cluster of 10 villages in Sarmathura block of Dholpur district, Rajasthan, through holistic approach of interventions in livelihoods, health, nutrition, education, and natural resources. The project aims to alleviate the poverty in a selected cluster which is still one of the most deprived regions within the district through holistic development approach by impacting all facets of the development indicators.
