Women Collective Anchored Integrated Second Chance Education and Vocational Learning Programme (SCE) is a women empowerment program, which aims to support marginalized & disadvantaged women to come out from poverty and vulnerability. This is a project which is being implemented in 6 countries including India. Talking about India, SCE program is being implemented in 12 districts of four Indian States, Bihar, Maharashtra, Orissa and Rajasthan. United Nations Women (UN Women) India is the funding partner for SCE program. SCE program is being implemented by a consortium. PRADAN (Professional Assistance for Development Action) is the leading partner of consortium at National level. In Rajasthan, Baran, Chitttorgarh and Jaisalmer, are the selected districts for the SCE program & Manjari Foundation is the implementing partner across districts. In Rajasthan Manjari Foundation is the implementing partner across districts namely Baran, Chittorgarh and Jaisalmer. With the support of UN Women and PRADAN, through SEC, Manjari Foundation aims to reach out to disadvantaged and young women in Rajasthan. To empower women to become literate, Manjari Foundation is providing them with an opportunity to re-integrate themselves with formal education.
