The aim of the project is to improve parameters of sanitation, nutrition, environmental sustainability, and community ownership synergize to improve the overall well-being of communities with a focus of maternal and child health.
After intense research, 12 activities that impact health, nutrition, waste management, gender and youth rights, environmental sustainability, among others, are designed as part of the SWBI program.
These activities include:
· Save a child project and Direct health care support
· Ensure early Identification of neonatal and prenatal issues
· Improving community awareness on maternal and child health
· Capacity building of village health staff for kitchen gardens
· Training of adolescent youth
· Training of farmers on organic farming
· Information education and communication campaigns for better health-seeking behaviour
· AYUSH training on Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, Yoga, and Homeopathy
· Solid waste management and improvement of sanitation in villages
· Training of clowns for more effective sensitization
· Formation of social audit committees
· Transforming health centres into comprehensive wellness centres
