Many generous alumnus and/or a philanthropist join hands with IIT Roorkee to promote excellence among students, faculty and departments through creating corpus to support one or more schemes  or for infrastructure development, financial support to students, education, women empowerment or project funding by one-time donation to the institute. There are various ongoing projects which are under process and many projects like augmentation of laboratories, building of new hostels and renovation of existing hostels for students, lecture hall, museum etc are planned to shape up the institute of national importance with state of art technologies. 

• Infrastructure development & their operation/ maintenance to promote barrier free campus
• Financial support to meet out expenditures of or to renovate students' laboratories and/or add equipment’s in the laboratories
• Contributions to support business Incubations / Startups
• Women empowerment through skill development initiatives
• Travel Support to students for their internships at highly reputed university departments or research labs or to present papers at good international conferences
• Project funding for students and scholars to participate at National/International competitions
