SMART centers aim to provide employability skills training to youth from economically weaker sections of the urban community. The skill training is offered to the beneficiaries through a well-structured training program to ensure that after the completion of the training they are placed in suitable and dignified jobs. The SMART program places great emphasis on foundational skills for a job such as Spoken English, basic IT, and Workplace readiness. A total of 4 domains are being offered to the students for them to opt from SMART, SMART+ (for Persons with Disabilities), and SMART-T (Technical) Centres.

Empowering youth with skills for a brighter future: The SMART program through its vocational centers offers a variety of skill training in various domains across the service as well as the manufacturing industry. It provides training in courses such as Foundation skills and domain-specific areas that are aligned to the QP (qualification pack) and NOS (National Occupation Standards) as specified by the Sector Skill Council.

The course training manuals provided at our vocational centers are detailed and easy to comprehend for students. A robust system of regular assessments and certification on successful completion of the training is an integral part of the program. Youth graduating from SMART centers are successfully placed in the service and manufacturing sectors. Our SMART program has a live Management Information System that helps in monitoring and evaluating quantitative and qualitative data across all locations.

• Project SMART provides vocational skills to 400 students each year in 4 domains.
• It also provides placement for more than 90 percent of the students.
• The project helps the students not only with the domain knowledge but also with the knowledge of Pocos, POSH, gender-based violence, mental health wellness.
• It also prepares the students with interview techniques, grooming, and etiquettes.
