Earthikaa — Inspired by the Soil is an emerging purpose-driven marketplace and brand platform under ImpactBox Venture Pvt. Ltd. that brings together products created by Self-Help Groups (SHGs), Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), artisans, rural enterprises, and social enterprises from across India.

Earthikaa aims to build a modern retail and digital marketplace where authentic, community-produced products meet contemporary design, storytelling, and responsible consumption.

Working closely with the One Purpos ecosystem, Earthikaa also develops Cause Merchandise — curated products such as apparel, accessories, gifting items, and campaign merchandise that enable organisations, communities, and individuals to support social causes through everyday consumption.

About the Position

We are looking for a Manager – Cause Merchandise who will lead the development, sourcing, and scaling of purpose-driven merchandise and products across categories such as apparel, accessories, handcrafted products, gifting collections, and campaign merchandise.

The role requires someone who understands product development, ethical sourcing, storytelling through products, and retail strategy, while working closely with SHGs, artisans, social enterprises, NGOs, and design partners across India.

The selected candidate will help build a national catalogue of cause merchandise for Earthikaa retail stores, online marketplace, and corporate partnerships.

Responsibilities

1. Cause Merchandise Strategy

• Design and build the Earthikaa Cause Merchandise portfolio across multiple product categories.
• Identify opportunities for cause-led merchandise collections linked to themes such as sustainability, women empowerment, climate action, rural livelihoods, crafts, and community enterprises.
• Work with NGOs, artisan groups, and social enterprises to develop purpose-driven product lines.

2. Product Development & Design

• Conceptualise and develop merchandise products such as T-shirts, caps, tote bags, badges, accessories, stationery, home products, and handicrafts.
• Work with designers and artisan clusters to ensure products meet contemporary market preferences.
• Maintain quality standards, packaging guidelines, and brand alignment.

3. Supply Chain & Sourcing

• Build a network of SHGs, FPOs, artisan clusters, and social enterprises across India for product sourcing.
• Coordinate production timelines and ensure ethical and transparent sourcing practices.
• Maintain inventory planning and vendor coordination.

4. Corporate & Campaign Merchandise

• Develop corporate gifting and cause merchandise catalogues for companies, foundations, and institutions.
• Work with CSR teams, NGOs, and campaigns to design customised merchandise for events, awareness campaigns, and employee engagement programs.

5. Retail & Marketplace Development

• Contribute to product strategy for Earthikaa flagship stores and online marketplace.
• Curate seasonal collections and thematic product drops.
• Monitor product performance, pricing, and customer feedback.

6. Storytelling & Impact Narratives

• Build product stories highlighting artisan communities, rural entrepreneurs, and sustainability narratives.
• Collaborate with communication teams to showcase product impact through digital content and retail storytelling.

Mandatory Qualification and Experience:

• 5–8 years of experience in product merchandising, ethical fashion, handicrafts, lifestyle products, retail merchandising, or social enterprise products.
• Experience working with artisan clusters, NGOs, rural enterprises, or craft-based supply chains will be an advantage.
• Strong understanding of product design trends, merchandising strategy, and retail dynamics.
• Ability to manage multiple vendor networks and product lines.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build new product verticals from scratch.
