CSRBOX, through its One Purpos Platform, is looking for a highly creative and purpose-driven Communications Manager with a strong background in filmmaking, documentaries, and visual storytelling to lead communication and narrative-led content initiatives.

About the Position

This role extends far beyond traditional social media management. We are seeking someone who understands the art of storytelling — someone who can shape narratives, capture authentic human experiences, direct emotionally compelling stories, and transform real-world impact into cinematic and engaging content.

The ideal candidate should bring expertise in creative direction, documentary-style storytelling, content production, and strategic communication to build meaningful narratives around social impact and innovation.

Responsibilities

Creative Direction & Storytelling

• Lead the creative vision and narrative direction for campaigns, films, digital stories, and branded communication content
• Conceptualize emotionally compelling stories rooted in social impact, grassroots communities, and human experiences
• Develop storytelling formats aligned with cinematic and documentary-style narratives
• Ensure authenticity, emotional depth, and narrative consistency across communication outputs

Film & Documentary Production

• Plan, direct, and oversee documentary shoots, interviews, field stories, and impact-driven visual content
• Manage end-to-end production coordination including:

1. Scripting
2. Shot planning
3. Direction
4. Production supervision
5. Post-production coordination

• Work closely with filmmakers, editors, cinematographers, and creative teams to produce high-quality visual stories

Narrative Development

• Translate complex social impact initiatives into engaging and accessible visual narratives
• Build compelling story arcs, documentary treatments, interview structures, and campaign narratives
• Identify meaningful stories emerging from grassroots interventions, communities, changemakers, and project stakeholders
• Develop long-form and short-form storytelling formats for digital and offline platforms

Communication Strategy

• Develop communication strategies centered around storytelling, visual engagement, and audience connection
• Build and strengthen the narrative identity of the One Purpos Platform across multiple channels
• Ensure all communication aligns with the organization’s mission, values, tone, and creative vision

Digital Content & Campaigns

• Lead storytelling-led campaigns involving:

1. Documentary films
2. Reels
3. Podcasts
4. Launch videos
5. Social media storytelling
6. Digital campaigns

• Oversee launch narratives, audience engagement, and creative campaign execution for key initiatives
• Collaborate with internal and external creative stakeholders to maintain quality and storytelling excellence

Mandatory Qualification and Experience:

• Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in filmmaking, direction, documentary production, or visual storytelling
  • Deep understanding of cinematic storytelling, narrative structure, and visual communication
  • Experience directing interviews, impact stories, or documentary-style content
  • Proficiency in:
  1. Scripting
  2. Storyboarding
  3. Creative conceptualization
  4. Production planning
  • Familiarity with video production workflows, editing processes, and creative collaboration
  • Strong communication, presentation, and creative leadership abilities
  •  Ability to independently drive projects from ideation to execution

  • Strong storytelling, scriptwriting, and copywriting skills
  • Experience managing digital communication and social media campaigns
  • Understanding of video production, visual branding, and multimedia content creation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, purpose-driven, and collaborative environment
  • Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills
