About the Position

We are looking for a dynamic, people-oriented, and highly energetic Manager – Ahmedabad Cares who deeply understands Ahmedabad’s culture, communities, public spaces, and youth ecosystem.

The ideal candidate should be someone who naturally connects with people, understands local communities and trends, and can build meaningful citizen engagement initiatives across the city.

This role requires strong community-building skills, on-ground execution capability, stakeholder management, and a passion for creating social impact within urban ecosystems.

Responsibilities

1. Community Engagement & City Activation

• Lead and manage citizen engagement initiatives across Ahmedabad.
• Conceptualize and execute community-driven activities, events, meetups, and campaigns.
• Build meaningful relationships with youth groups, volunteers, RWAs, colleges, local communities, and civic stakeholders.
• Create initiatives that encourage active citizen participation in solving city-level challenges.

2. Event Planning & Execution

• Plan and execute city events, public engagements, workshops, volunteer drives, and cultural/community activities.
• Coordinate logistics, vendors, permissions, volunteers, and event operations.
• Ensure smooth on-ground execution and high participant engagement.

3. Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with NGOs, educational institutions, local businesses, civic bodies, and community leaders.
• Build strategic partnerships to strengthen Ahmedabad Cares initiatives.
• Represent Ahmedabad Cares in meetings, forums, and city-level discussions.

4. Communication & Outreach

• Drive local outreach campaigns and citizen participation strategies.
• Support social media storytelling, community communication, and engagement campaigns.
• Create local networks and build strong visibility for Ahmedabad Cares within the city.

5. Team Coordination & Operations

• Coordinate with internal teams, volunteers, interns, and project associates.
• Ensure timely execution of activities, reporting, and documentation.
• Monitor participation, engagement metrics, and overall community impact.

Mandatory Qualification and Experience:

• Native of Ahmedabad with deep understanding of the city’s culture and people
• Passionate about community-building and social impact
• Strong communication and networking skills
•  Comfortable managing events and on-ground activities
•  Highly energetic, creative, and proactive personality
•  Ability to connect with youth, communities, and stakeholders
•   Experience in community engagement, events, social initiatives, or city-based programs preferred
