UdyamStree

An initiative by EdelGive Foundation, UdyamStree is a launchpad for those ambitious women who dream to start their own enterprises but do not have enough family or financial support. We believe that economic independence is a major component of women empowerment. Women-led businesses currently provide direct employment to an estimated 22 to 27 million people. Growth in the number and size of women-owned businesses could generate 150 to 170 million additional jobs by 2030.

Understanding the importance of finding a solution to prevalent problems that hinder women’s economic growth in different parts of the country, especially rural India, #UdyamStree Campaign was launched by EdelGive Foundation in October 2020. Our ‘Landscape study on Women Entrepreneurship’ (to be hyperlinked with a page that leads to the complete report) renders a detailed insight into the different factors that influence women’s entrepreneurial journeys in India.
