The Institute started in 2014 to provide vocational training on skills and competencies linked to industries. The trades, in which skills are currently imparted, are Beauty & Wellness, Welding, Fitter and Hospitality & Tourism. Skills have been identified based on job requirements with member industries of Confederation of Indian Industries (the implementing partner), which assures at least 75% employment. 523 persons were enrolled during 2016-17.
