As part of Mission Salamati: Jeevan Raksha Abhiyan, Akzo Nobel India in association with the Government of Punjab conducted comprehensive road safety awareness programme among 5,000 school children in 34 government schools in Mohali. In this project, students were sensitised and educated about road safety, safe behaviour and traffic rules. The project was being run in two phases. In phase one, presentations and interactive discussions were organised with school children regarding traffic rules, safety practices and causes of road accidents. In phase two, students participated in various activities organized for them in school like extempore speech, poster making competition, etc. The project has been widely appreciated by local media and Government authorities for raising awareness on road safety at a mass scale.
