We all dream of a Happy world.. But do we live in one? In today’s fast paced, competition laden and technology driven world, we struggle hard to achieve the best of everything but the element of happiness remains missing. A growing problem not only in India but all over the globe is that children are more stressed than ever. In fact, India has one of the highest rates of suicides among students, an issue that begs, screams and yearns for attention, yet goes unattended many a times. Very often unknown to us, our children today are under tremendous pressure from all sides, they are stressed, depressed, anxious and alone. They are confused or simply don’t know how to react and express their emotions in everyday situations, in the absence of a deeply embedded Value system. The lack of a strong, carefully curated value/ happiness education curriculum coupling with the factors of desolation, discontentment leaves our children vulnerable to a life full of constant unhappiness. However, if one learns to be happy with oneself, the stress levels reduce and one develops a deeper insight not only of themselves but also of others.

When all options started looking bleak for our children, Blue Orb foundation rolled up its sleeves and took on themselves the responsibility to instil a Value system in them, which will guide them through these tough growing up times and stand by them through their lifetime.

The genesis of the name – Blue Orb, lies in the philosophy on which the foundation of the company was laid. Blue represents vastness, limitless, and showing capacity to develop into something great, much like the human potential; and ‘Orb’ symbolizes the catalyst that brings about the desired change. Thus, embodying the same values that continue to inspire young and old to unleash their true potential, the name was born. Blue Orb has taken Value Education to schools through the “Poornata” program. At present through thei r Poornata Program we have impacted more than 10 million students acrossIndia. In Early 2018 they also tied up with the Delhi Government for designing and implementing the “Happiness curriculum” across all government schools in New Delhi.

• Their practice nurtures empathy and expands the creativity of a child through SEE Learning, that is SEL with key additional components, including attention training, compassion and ethical discernment, systems thinking, resilience and trauma-informed practice.
• Their programmes seek to provide and create opportunities for students to take initiatives, make decisions, and be accountable for the results.
• Their Value-Based Life Skills Programme (VBLSP) uses the medium of theatre in education and arts to engage and develop critical life skills.

Blue Orb Foundation endeavours to nurture happy, confident and fulfilled human beings who will play a meaningful role in society. They work with learners from across different spectrums using a creative life skills approach. Their team of educators hail from different educational and artistic backgrounds, to stimulate the experiential growth of the child. Using activities from the drama in education, movement therapy, film and craft they make sure the learnings come from a place of merriment and joy. Blue Orb Foundation currently works with four states (Telangana, Uttrakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi NCR), they have also worked with the state of Andhra Pradesh (the project was closed after content creation and training of the master trainers). They engage with nearly 85,000 schools that is nearly over 10 million students on an everyday basis. The organization has the means and the desire to have an impact on the grassroots level to achieve true change.
