About the organization
Arpan Seva Sansthan is a non profit organization, registered under the Rajasthan Societies Registration Act 1958. Established in 1996 by a professional group of people from Agriculture University. Arpan Seva Sansthan has rich experience in the developmental sector for the last 25 years. Since its inception, ARPAN is committed to serving the rural community and bringing about positive societal changes with the purpose of ensuring access to the community to social and economic opportunities. At Arpan, we always involve the beneficiary community from the initial stage of planning so that their actual problems and viable solutions for the same are addressed in the development projects. Arpan has a strong presence in five States; Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujrat, and Uttar Pradesh.

The overall goal of the organization is to empower the community and to enable it for sustainable livelihood enhancement. At Arpan, we always involve the beneficiary community from the initial stage of planning so that their actual problems and viable solutions for the same are addressed in the development projects. We also include the local community representatives for creating positive influence and steering the community interest in the desired direction. Arpan contributes to alleviating poverty in ways that ordinary people can come along and play a role in building a better society. Arpan has a strong presence in 5 States (Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh) and 9 States in National Level Monitoring. Reaching out to more than 6,00,000 rural families and 28000 villages with an extensive human resource pool of 250 multidisciplinary professionals consisting of agriculture engineers, economists, livelihood and sustainability experts, WASH experts, management, M&E, community mobiliser and technical consultants. With a cross-cutting focus on inclusiveness and addressing inequalities, Arpan Seva Sansthan help advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through its various interventions
The key philosophy of all CSR initiatives of Arpan is guided by three core commitments of "SCALE, IMPACT and SUSTAINABILITY". We have different innovative mechanisms for scaling up operations by creating extensions of the corporate organization.As a pioneer organisation of participatory watershed development, and having spent over 25 years transforming rural communities and ecosystems, Arpan is uniquely poised to expand its footprint and scale its vital work.Watershed Development treated area- 22000Ha annual average recharge – 40 lakhCuM Increase in Agriculture productivity – 20 to 30 % well recharge – 1500 Tanka constructed – 72% Increase in irrigation potential – 750 HA. Community based water resource management lifted irrigation Scheme – 4260 HA water harvesting structures – 1125 HALivelihood intervention (farm based) Horticulture orchard development – 2287 families vegetable cultivation – 1280 families livestock development – 12000+ farmers. Non farm based livelihood, 300 SHGs covering 2612 families.
Community mobilization reaching out to more than 600000 rural families, 7 FPOs and 6 federations with more than 5000 beneficiaries working with more than 1200 SHG and 5248 different community institutions. We have facilitated construction of toilets with bathrooms for 1353 families and school toilet construction benefiting more than 10,000 school children.
The organization has rich experience in the developmental sector in different geographical areas for mainly in the field of Natural Resource Management (Watershed development, water resources management, improved agriculture & horticulture, livestock, and afforestation), Livelihood, WASH, Health and Nutrition, Women Empowerment, Skill Development and Trainings, Capacity Building Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning & Documentation.
