Vatsalya continued its proactive support to the Government of Uttar Pradesh by way of its research and policy inputs for improving the success rate of ground-level implementation and monitoring of various Government Programs. Vatsalya’s consultative inputs to Government of India on some of the areas in Women and Child Health Sector have also been accepted appreciably. It is probably the appreciation of the success of efforts of Vatsalya that has aroused attention of various support agencies in this sector to come forward and extend their association with Vatsalya with their technical & financial support. Larger part of our strategy is to implement programs at grass root level and create workable/ optional replicable models, which are used for policy advocacy and knowledge creation. Vatsalya has many demonstration models to its credits as well. Vatsalya has been working with many state level platforms like National Health Mission, Directorate of women & child development, State legal service authority, UP, judicial training & research institute, UP and many academic institutions. It has also closely worked with civil society networks in UP and media. It has represented many technical committees at National & State level in the area of health & child protection. In the education space, it has experience of implementation of RTE on the ground in 200 schools in district Lucknow and has been part of state collective for rights of education (SCORE) advancing rights to education.
